Polar Electro is looking for a Team Leader to our European Sales Operations team
We are looking for a new colleague to join our European Sales Operations team as Team Leader, EU Order Desk.
In this role, you will take the lead in coordinating the daily Retail operations of the EU Order Desk team, while also remaining closely involved in hands-on order management activities. You will ensure smooth and accurate execution of sales operations processes across Europe, working closely with internal stakeholders and customers. The planned start date is as soon as possible, but latest in August.
Location: Finland (Oulu area), the Netherlands or Switzerland (Zug area) — remote or hybrid depending on location.
About the role
As Team Leader, you will combine team leadership responsibility with operational execution, ensuring high service quality and continuous improvement in EU sales operations.
Team leadership and coordination
- Lead and support the EU Order Desk team in daily operations, ensuring balanced workloads and clear prioritization
- Act as the first point of contact for operational topics and escalations
- Coach and guide team members to support performance and development
- Monitor team KPIs and service levels and ensure alignment with global sales principles
- Collaborate closely with stakeholders across functions and regions
Order management and operations (hands-on role)
- Handle and monitor EU retail and B2B orders in ERP system in line with global sales principles
- Manage returns, claims, and customer-related order topics
- Create customer invoices and support accurate order and delivery management
- Create and release deliveries and follow up shipments
- Monitor pre-payments and support smooth invoicing processes
Data, administration, and coordination
- Maintain customer master data, pricing conditions, and product data in ERP systems
- Support price list updates and ensure pricing accuracy
- Maintain and review product catalogues for webshops and sales channels
- Provide stock updates and support webshop order handling and product administration
- Participate in reporting activities and support data collection (e.g. SAP-based reporting)
Process improvement & collaboration
- Identify inefficiencies and drive improvements in order desk processes and tools
- Contribute to service quality, operational excellence, and continuous improvement of ways of working
- Work closely with customers and internal stakeholders across Europe to ensure smooth communication and issue resolution
- Support continuous improvement by utilizing AI-enabled tools where appropriate in daily tasks
What we’re looking for
- Strong experience in sales operations, order management, or logistics processes
- Proven ability to lead, guide or coordinate a team
- Hands-on mindset and willingness to actively support daily operations
- Experience with ERP systems, preferably SAP
- Strong administrative skills, attention to detail, and structured way of working
- Microsoft tools such as Outlook, Teams, Excel, Word, SharePoint, and other digital work tools
- Good collaboration skills and ability to work in an international environment
- Educational background in business, sales, or a relevant field (Bachelor’s degree preferred)
Language skills
- Professional working proficiency in English, German, and French.
