Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works Great! I purchased the H7 about 6 months ago and it's worked like a charm every time. I only had one time where I had to take out the battery to reset the unit. My iPhone apps (Runtastic, Endomondo and Runkeeper) had no problems connecting to the HRM and giving an accurate BPM to the apps. The H7 HRM strap does not track mileage or calories (as another reviewer claims) but strictly monitors your heart rate and communicates this information to another Bluetooth device (such as your smartphone or watch) and that device passes the information to the app. In my case, my H7 connects to my iPhone and relays the HRM data to my Runtastic app. I've also connected my Runtastic app with MyFitnessPal app, so that training info is also passed on seamlessly and automatically. I've enclosed screenshots from iPhone apps that I always use: - PolarBeat for actual configuring and pairing of the H7 strap - Runtastic for displaying my heart rate during my workouts - MyFitnessPal for tracking my exercise that is passed on automatically by Runtastic

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works great with Loop Bought the Loop first and enjoyed it much better than some of the competitors I have tried. I then got the H7. Took me a minute to get the sequence right on hooking it up through my loop and not using the cell app. Oonce I did that working in combo with the Loop has given me my best info on my work outs that I've ever had. Knowing my heart rate constantly without having to look past my wrist and then being able to upload my Loop to my cell phone when I'm done gives me instant info to know how beneficial my workout was. I recommend using the H7 with the Loop to give great feedback and help you get your work out more productive.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent, works the way it should. Like most people, I purchased this product to communicate directly with my phone. I also had similar connection issues the others had. These issues were occurring because I was also using my bluetooth headphones. If I used wired headphones, the issue did not occur. Fact #1 - This device only sends out a signal. Your phone is responsible for making the connection and remaining connected. Fact #2 - The bluetooth standard is not designed to support multiple devices at one time(sometimes it worked and sometimes it didn't). My solution? I purchased the Polar Loop to track my fitness and cardio while my phone plays music and tracks my route with GPS.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Same problems with Beat pairing Worked fine, then stopped working with iPhone 6. Don't know if it had to do with iOS 9.x upgrade? If so, I found nothing regarding that after an hour of searching online. Then I read these reviews and see there are many others experiencing the same thing. Tried all the tricks: Left battery out for an hour, tried to drain the remaining juice with a paper clip, bought a fresh battery, deleted the app and redownloaded, cycled my phone, etc. The H7 is emitting, because I can pick it up with the Runkeeper app, but Beat just won't pair. Strange that Polar's own app doesn't work with their sensor, but extremely frustrating!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Awesome Watch, Heart Rate Monitor H7 Issues I brought the polar heart rate Ft4 loved it, then went out and brought the FT7 and loved it, so I decided to buy the H7 Bluetooth monitor and it had been going great. I have only had it six months and lately it keeps losing the signal. I have followed the directions from the video about the care of the strap and monitor. I have had to change my battery twice a month, and now the battery is not even lasting two weeks. I am so mad because I have gotten spoiled with linking it to my fitness apps and now I am back to using the regular monitor and keying in my workouts by hand. Such a shame, because I really loved this product.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Worked great, then seemed to be erroneous I enjoyed this for 2.5 years and would run half-marathons and due workouts to a heart rate via iPhone Bluetooth to RunKeeper. Then about nine months ago, the recordings of heart rate went wickedly abnormal, leading me to consult a cardiologists. I had changed the strap and kept batteries strong. I always updated IOS and software when prompted. So, I was concerned about arrhythmia or something else. After an echo and stress test, the cardiologist concluded that my heart was normal and the H7 recordings may not be recording accurately. Anyway, I'm glad to have been prompted to see a cardiologist given that I'm a 57 male. The cardiologist said my tests indicated my heart is strong and normal!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works like a charm! I have had my H7 for 2.5 month's now and I use it 3-5x a week and it has not missed a beat (pun intended) ~ so well in fact that I have purchased the Polar Stride Sensor and I have no issues with both connecting with my iPhone 5S and staying connected. I recently returned my Garmin Forerunner 220 because the material for the strap for the HR Sensor was folding over on itself and pinching me on runs. Thank you for attention to detail Polar!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Great idea poorly executed I got this about a year ago and absolutely loved it. It would track my mileage, calories, etc just like the watch, but having it speak to me as i was running was awesome! Especially as the displays on the watches are small and hard to read without my glasses. Then one day it just didn't perform consistently. I'd be running like a mad woman and the monitor would state my heart rate was at 56. Then it would have it at 186. Then zero. I changed the batteries often, kept my heart rate sensor clean, and still couldn't resolve the issue. Such a bummer for such a great concept. I also bought the Polar Beat upgrade and when i upgraded my phone, the upgrade didn't follow. Was definitely not happy with that as not sure why i would need to repurchase. Would love to see this product evolve!
