Rated 2 out of 5 by from Okay device but could be much better This device is okay at best. In terms of accuracy, there is no question that a chest strap is the most accurate but this device takes a while to start reading. I moisten the chest strap sensor and it still takes up to 10 mins to accurately and reliably record my heart rate. The strap it self is poorly designed. The latching mechanism is terrible and it often comes off during an intense work out. Finally, its almost impossible to get the device open to change the battery. Very basic design.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Works great & pairs w/ my A300, but uncomfortable! I was really excited about this product and the Bluetooth capabilities. They hit the nail on the head with that capability. But I am experiencing chafing every time I wear the chest strap with this sensor and go for a run! How uncomfortable! I feel like I have a permanent mark on my chest. It has to be something with the shape of the sensor because the old sensor doesn't bother me.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Too many drop-outs I do a variety of workouts including bootcamps and BodyPump and am experiencing consistent drop outs whenever I am not standing (e.g. doing chest presses, burpees, etc.). I have used other heart rate monitors with far less disconnections.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not what I needed I was looking for a heart rate sensor that I could use with my new Nautilus elliptical. I looked on the Polar Web page under accessories and the only heart rate monitor listed was the H7. There were no details that indicated the H7 would or would not function as an uncoded transmitter. I bought it since it was the only option on display and I imagined that it work with all the exercise machines that interface with a heart rate sensor. When it arrived, it did not work and customer service told me about the T31 which can be found by entering T31 in the search field. So, Polar needs to make clear the distinctions between coded and uncoded transmission and which heart rate sensors are appropriate for.which.need. The T31 should be listed on the same accessory page as the H7 with an explanation of their different uses.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good results, but not under water. I bought a H7 heart rate sensor and I am very happy with the results of my conventional training with my Polar Loop 2. The problem is when I swim. The Bluetooth transmission doesn't work. The specification says: "Transfers heart rate information while swimming with products which support 5 kHz transmission" What are the Polar products that support 5kHz transmission?

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Pairing Issue Solved I bought the H7 and it works perfect. It is tricky the pairing but I solved. It turns out that with my phone (iphone 6 plus) when I did the pairing as a normal bluetooth device and MISTAKE, all you have to do is do the pairing from the APP not from the Settings on your phone, if you do the pairing from your phone as any other device the H7 will not work. If you do it from the APP it will work. Dont be afraid that it doest appear on your bluetooth devices list because it doesnt, why? I dont know, I just know that I turn on the bluetooth (after pairing obviously) open the APP and automatically the H7 is on the APP visible and paired, after that I turn on my Jaybird´s X2 buds and they work fine... For me the app is great.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Pairing issue going on for years with Android phones of many different versions!!! Seems like they don't work right out of the box, or they work for a couple of minutes, hours, days or months and THEN die. But end result is the same. They DON'T work consistently with Android. Hangs several times in the middle of a training session. Please please please do not waste your money.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I was really concerned about purchasing this after reading some of the reviews but for $39 on Amazon I figured I'd give it try and I'm very happy I did. It connected to my phone (LG Nexus 5x) without any problem at all. I've tested it against a couple of other HR monitors that I have available and the readings are spot-on. My only complaint is that the strap can be irritating if you don't cover the threads near the attachment loop. Oh yeah, the battery cover was a little hard to get off initially. I first tried removing the cover with a penny (usa) and it started to strip the cover's notch. My advise is to use a nickle instead and apply good downward pressure when turning. That worked like a charm.
