Polar launched the CS500 cycling computer (anglais seulement)

Friday, Septembre 25, 2009 Polar introduced the new revolutionary CS500 cycling computer for ambitious cyclists at the Eurobike and Interbike international bicycle trade shows. What makes this cycling computer so revolutionary is the functional design coupled with the iconic Polar heart rate monitoring. The CS500 offers innovative rocker switch operation, oversized display, and new bike mount. Together these help demanding cyclists stay fully in control of their performance while training. The two-way rocker switch makes it easier to navigate through training data, allowing effortless control even at high speeds. The rider can quickly and safely operate their cycling computer by gently touching the left or right side of the handlebar unit. Cyclists will also appreciate the oversized display which guarantees more data on the screen and clear visibility of training information in all conditions. The new Dual Lock Bike Mount with engineered metal parts gives sturdy attachment for the cycling computer, while the reliable 2.4 GHz W.I.N.D. technology guarantees disturbance-free data communication. With the CS500, cyclists get more out of their training by combining body information with versatile cycling data from compatible cycling sensors. The CS500 can measure speed, distance, cadence, and temperature. It also displays current altitude, ascended/descended meters, and hill steepness. After the ride, cyclists can log in to their online training diary at polarpersonaltrainer.com. This advanced web service has been developed to answer the demands of keen cyclists, allowing them to transfer their training files via the new DataLink data transfer unit. The CS500, weighing only 50 grams, comes with CS speed sensor W.I.N.D. and Dual Lock Bike Mount or in a more extensive set with CS cadence sensor W.I.N.D. as well.  The CS500 will be available on spring 2010. Stay tuned for more details.
