V800 is rated 4.097560975609756 out of 5 by 123.
Rated 2 out of 5 by from pairing I've owned this watch for over 1 year now. I have had three different episodes where I can't sync my watch to my iphone. The solution: factory reset. People I have 6 POLAR sensors paired to this device. Your instructions of performing a factory reset means I have to not only reset so I can sync to my iphone, but I will have to reset all 6 of the other Polar products I use. This is very time consuming and frankly ridiculous. My time is valuable. When this watch works its the BEST but having this many non-syncable events is taking time out of my training. It seems as if your company could come up with a better, more feasible solution to this problem, especially with the expense of this watch. Very disappointed...

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great overall, minus charging Okay, so it's obvious there was a major flaw in the original charging design for this watch but Polar is obviously helping customers with the issue. Like many others that have reported issues charging, I use a large alligator clip while charging. Outside of the charging issue the watch has been a flawless workhorse. While it may not have a color LCD and fancy display options yet, it sets itself apart by being a SERIOUS sports watch. I own a Fenix 3 and while it's pretty and loaded with a lot of features, it can't hold a candle to the V800 when it comes to accuracy and consistency.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Bought this last May, very happy with it I wanted a triathlon tracking watch that generated HR in the water (my weakest area, and I was trying to see if I was spiking HR, or something else, in the swim, thanks to Polar I now know it's not my HR causing issues, so not sure what it is). It tracks more accurately than anything I've used on GPS, iPhone, Android (Galaxy S5 and S7Edge, using Strata, and about 3 other run trackers (Strava seems least accurate, for reasons DCRainmaker has covered elsewhere). On most runs with validated distance markers, it's off by no more than 50ft per mile. Tight twisty mountain bike courses it drifts more (compared to a very accurately calibrated cyclocomputer), up to 20% on really tight "back/forth" switching courses like we have around Dallas, but it still reads longer (more accurately) in total on the watch than anything tracked by cell phone GPS from multiple models and apps. Initial features were "promised but not delivered" however they've now delivered on all those promises through updates, and are now extending the feature set! (Unheard of really in a 1+ year old product, adding GoPro features now has been announced). Problems are charging (horrible design as easily known via web commentary, the M400 is such an improvement), and that is really it. The soft heart rate strap is NOT good for swimming (they do have a hard shell strap available at significant cost and not user-replaceable battery, I used to have that on my F7) that supposedly does a much better job in water, but too much tradeoff. Otherwise, if they could come up with a suitable "push-off" compliant swimming strap, which is independent really of the V800 anyhow, that's the only other common complaint I've seen (and had myself).

Rated 3 out of 5 by from I am a polar fan but.... ´1.-I have problems with my HR in the pool, it show me all the time the same rate. (now I don´t use my strap any more in the wather) the RCX5 was better in the wather . 2.- When I'm climbing it does not show the %, (the angle)

Rated 2 out of 5 by from GPS is ehhh... Negatives: I've had the watch for over 18 months now, I monitor my run distance on a standard 400m track 3x a week. Around 90% of time the GPS records a 10% overcalculation in distance. Therefore I can never trust my race pace readings. Instead of accurate readings I use it more as an indicator now. I use this watch as a really fancy stopwatch now. But enjoy haha Also, charging is pretty tough. I actually strap my watch to the charger using electrical tape in order for it to work. Positives: -The watch holds charge pretty well. I charge it every 3 weeks -The heart strap battery lasts a very long time, I got about a year of use out of it, and replacing the battery is like 4 bucks from a local drugstore and takes 3 minutes to swap out. -Not bulky, great fit. - customer service is pretty good

Rated 3 out of 5 by from I like the watch, but would expect more I really like the watch and Im using it for Mountainbiking. Allthough everything works as it should Im missing two Major Features (From my perspective). 1) To race/compete against myself on a Route 2) Being able to add a route over flow I think for the amount you pay for this watch this should be available.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent features Very informative and motivating I bought this over a year ago, I wanted to make sure I spent adequate time with it before a review. I absolutely love this thing. Seems to be accurate, very motivating and information revealed about workouts is rewarding and informative. Works great with heart chest strap monitor and keeps me aware of heart rate and zones during use. Also works great in water, one of the main reasons I bought this over other fitness trackers. I wear this 24/7. Even take it into shower to wash it off after an intense workout. Battery life is also a huge plus, without gps and working out at least 4-5 times per week I only charge every 3 weeks. With gps workouts is obviously shorter. Gps is quick to connect and seems to be quite accurate. Love the size, just big enough with out being gaudy. Glad to have chest strap heart rate monitor since wrist based monitors aren't that accurate under intense workouts. Wouldn't have minded one though for daily activity or sleep. Sleep taking is fairly accurate, like to see how my averages are each weekof sleeping hours. Overall very satisfied with this product and highly recommend it. I use this device for sleep tracking, calories burned during workouts and daily activity, cycling and running with gps, swimming with both gps and without, and recovery information.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Great watch, charging interface is a fatal flaw It works great, until you need yo charge it. Holding the charger very tightly between my fingers allows me to get enough charge for a few hours
