V650 is rated 3.5 out of 5 by 12.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Better than Garmin 810 I bought this and a Garmin 810 at the same time. The Garmin is OK, but it just seems cheap compared to the V650. The Polar has a better, brighter, bigger display, more intuitive menus, uses Polar Flow and a mini USB cord. I use it on every ride and I even added the Power Tap C1 cranks. So far they work flawlessly. They even provide cadence. So why didn't I buy two V650's? We ride a tandem and I bought the Garmin for the map function (which I find very unintuitive), and iPhone connectivity. When the map function is as good as the Garmin, the V650 will be at least twice as good. The bottom line is the V650 is an excellent bike computer, and does everything a bike computer should. My only issue with the V650 isn't the V650 it's the H7 heart rate sensor. I'm on my third sensor. they seem to only last about a year.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love it so far... I've used my V650 for a little over 250 miles now and have zero complaints. When I set out to buy a new computer, I wasn't really looking for a GPS, because I didn't want to spend the extra money for that feature. Then I came across the V650. I'm a long-time, biased user of the Polar heart rate monitors, but I had no experience with their GPS. So far I am impressed! It's very easy and intuitive to load maps and routes. So far, I'm pleased with the accuracy/reception with the GPS. I am more than pleased with all the features that come with this computer...and for a lot less money than the equivalent Garmin computer.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from I ride with the V650 I have used Polar cycling computers for years. I really like the the Flow software and the Smart coaching features. Lots of detail. When apple update OS i had to download on my macbook. Constant updates to the firmware mean I don't have to buy a new one to get new features, just update. Easy to read on the road, connects to Strava and the VO2max test makes sure my calories are accurate.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent!! Coming from various Garmin Edge products - I love this thing. The screen is bright and readable throughout the ride, the software is easy to use and the Polar "ecosystem" is just excellent. I have a Polar watch (v800) and just bought the scale. being able to track everything in the Polar flow system is excellent. IMO, the V650 has just what I need and not a bunch of clutter with the things I don't. Not sure how well it works with power meters since I don't use them. Highly recommended.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Very nice but: Had for 2 months. Like it very much but doesn't work with latest Apple OS X (EL Capitan 10.11). Spoke with tech support but no info when or if it will be updated to work with latest Apple OS X. Fortunately for me I have Windows 7 installed on my Mac laptop so can still use the V650. Otherwise I'd be out $300.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Very solid bike computer--gets better each update Using with Polar H7 HRM and Wahoo Blue SC. Sometimes after software updates the pairings are lost but is easy to pair again. The computer has worked well for me. I was planning on getting Polar M450 but they kept on pushing back the release date so went with the V650 as I liked the thought of color screen and maps. GPS connection has been quick and accurate and speed/cadence have worked well. HRM works better for me with some the gel stuff especially in fall/winter when it gets drier and you're not producing as much sweat. Touch screen is really responsive and they've just released some nice options for winter/wet riding in most recent update with being able to use buttons instead of screen when you have gloves on. My favorite feature is the HRM monitoring. One of the screens has the HR zones so you can do a workout based on that and that has been really helpful in changing how I ride and improving my health. The map feature is also nice. Haven't had to use it a lot but it definitely works. Battery life has been good. I'm guessing it's 10-12 hours (10 advertised). Getting rides off the computer has been fine (USB cable)--hope they do update soon to be able to do over blue tooth to smart phone. Hope they also add Fitness and Orthostatic Tests as well as Training Load and Recovery Time (available on M450) and being able to send files from Polar Flow to Strava (supposed be added anytime now). If they make those changes I would give a 5 star. No problems with mount either.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from New user, first impressions Just recieved the V650 this past weekend. I own th ePolar Flow, so I'm familiar with their app and products. This is my first "smart" computer, but I really do like it. It looks nice. The mount is rock solid, but I have to put all my effort into getting it to stretch enough to fit. I did and am still having issues with it syscing (only will sync with one computer) but it works. I'm also having issues with down loading the maps, but I'm sure i'll get it resolved (maps are secondary to me). The functionality of the device is very nice. I love the way I can customize the screen to have whatever parameters I want, and the way it stores the sessions are super nice to see what cumulative totals I have done. This thing will mearure virtually every parameter you want. The feature I like the best is the bar graph of the heart rate zones. It lets you know where your HR has been through out the ride. Next up power. I think I'm going to get the Stages power crank arm, since it will work with it now. As a side note, One reason I bought this was because I had 2 H7 sensors already. I also bought a Garmin 810 for the wife, so I'll get to compare these head to head ( bought this for the map feature on our tandem bike).
