Rated 2 out of 5 by from Good Sensor, horrible app. I am on my fourth H7 heart rate sensor. I have been using them because they are accurate and come with good app (no anymore). This sensor needs a new battery every three month, which is not necessarily an issue but battery door is very difficult to open and breaks within a year, so sensor have to be replaced. Please make it rechargeable! Polar Beat app that pairs with sensor and allows one to track workouts used to be good. But they recently released a new version, which is completely useless. They removed essentially functionality (weekly summary, training load, upload to polar trainer, auto-lock disable, etc) and changed color scheme to "ugly" (no there is no customization options). They refused to make previous version available as separate app, so that users can continue to use it. At this point there is absolutely no reason to buy H7 heart rate sensor. I am getting a different brand after my current sensor breaks (sensor usually lasts for about a year).

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Worthless With both the Polar app and iCardio, this sensor spends a large fraction of the time reporting wildly high heart rates. Changing tension, dampness of cintact area, and position has no effect. This has made it impossible to use the sensor, as I can never go more than a few minutes with believable data. Color me frustrated as I begin the RMA process.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Love Polar but May Switch copanies I have had two polar FT4 watches and the accompanying heart rate monitor. It has worked well in the past, never an issue. The new softer strap is super annoying!! It flips up all the time and never stays in places (rides up). I can't get an accurate heart rate on it to save my life! Very disappointing since I've always loved polar products. Any chance I am doing something wrong?

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Would be great if band didn't twist, dropping feed Excited to receive M400 and H7 heart monitor. Disappointed that I've had issues with it for more than a year. I thought the battery was going dead very quickly when the heart monitor would drop out during an exercise session. I replaced the battery 4 times in one year. I watched Youtube videos to trouble shoot why the monitor kept dropping out or wouldn't begin recording heart beat. Washing after every use did allow me to get more sessions recorded, but drop out continued. I've moved strap lower on my chest so strap would not be obstructed by my bra band. Now I realize that the band is twisting during class -- yoga has upside down poses and twists and the heart monitor band twists so the sensors are no longer on my skin. I believe that is the problem but I've found no way to stop it from twisting during class or HIIT bike training or just outside garden work. I'm very disappointed and don't know what product to replace it with in order to get full workouts recorded.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Last less than a year The Polar H7 HR sensor works at first but once you change the battery is is not reliable. When I was laying on the floor during yoga, it showed my heart rate as 225, sometimes it shows no HR which is very annoying; when I am running on the treadmill HR displays 54 (my resting HR is 70)!! It is so disappointing. I really like my Polar watches and depend on the HR sensor to be accurate. Over the past 10 years I have purchased 5 watches, RX300, FT7, M400..

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Excellent transmitter, but strap wears out quickly The Polar H7 works great! Much less finicky than Garmin. However, the chest strap only lasts about 9 months. I tried replacing the batteries, cleaning the strap, wetting the sensors. Finally Polar told me the straps need replacing every 9-12 months! I wish they (and Garmin) make this more clear when buying these HR monitoring systems.
