Polar Electro has announced today that it has decided to in-source its sales and marketing functions in the United Kingdom and Republic of Ireland. A wholly-owned subsidiary, Polar Electro (UK) Limited has been established to operate these functions.
Polar Electro's contract with its current UK distributor, Leisure Systems International Limited, will terminate on 12th June, 2005.
Polar Electro (UK) Limited will operate from premises in the Midlands and will employ approximately 25-35 persons. Recruiting of personnel will start immediately with an aim to bring the UK functions fully operational by the beginning of June. Polar Electro is prepared to offer employment to all current employees of Leisure Systems International Limited who are involved with Polar products and to whom the UK rules on transfers of undertakings (TUPE) applies.
