Localization Project Coordinator for a temporary position

Job description
Polar Electro Oy's UX writing and Localization team is looking for a Localization Project Coordinator. We are looking for a person with a linguistic background and experience in the technical aspects around Translation, Localization and Internationalization. The role requires the ability to work autonomously and manage delivery schedules independently. You are comfortable working with technical and non-technical people alike, and you are willing to learn new tools, processes and concepts. Your main responsibilities will be within localization project coordination, but writing skills are also desired as the role may include some writing and editing.

Responsibilities:
- You will manage translation projects from beginning to end, working closely with UX writers, engineers, terminologists, and external stakeholders and localization vendors
- You will develop translation project workflows, managing time, resources and quality
- You will identify, report and solve localization issues

Fixed term contract ~ 8 months

Requirements
- Master's / Bachelor's Degree (linguistics, or with equivalent experience)
- Knowledge of internationalization and localization
- Experience related to project management (preferably in the localization industry)
- Knowledge of at least one non-English language apart from mother tongue
- Excellent verbal and written English communication skills
- Excellent problem-solving capabilities
- Knowledge of translation memory tools (memoQ, Trados, or similar) are required
