The most recent annual database search added 1,569 new studies published in 2024 alone—a record-breaking number that underscores the research community’s continued trust in Polar’s precision measurement solutions. The studies span a wide range of disciplines includingmost studies in competitive training, fitness, health and medical research, and exercise and nutrition. Polar's presence in academic literature surpasses that of 15 other major wearable technology brands, reinforcing its global reputation for scientific accuracy and innovation.
In the 2024 update, the most frequently used Polar products in scientific research were the Polar H10, H7, OH1, and Verity Sense sensors, recognized for their highly accurate heart rate monitoring capabilities. The Polar H10 alone appeared in over 500 studies, often serving as a reference device. Among wrist-worn devices, the Polar V800, RS800, and M-series were the most commonly cited watches across a wide range of studies.
