KEMPELE, FINLAND – 25 February 2026 – Polar Electro, a global leader in wearable sports and fitness technology for nearly 50 years, announced today that POLAR Loop has received the iF DESIGN AWARD 2026. The recognition celebrates POLAR Loop’s screen-free, minimalist approach—bringing Polar’s tracking expertise into a wearable designed to blend into everyday life, combining thoughtful, timeless design with technology that works quietly in the background.
Chosen from more than 10,000 entries spanning 66 countries, POLAR Loop was recognized by an international jury of 129 independent design experts in the Product discipline, within the Medicine/Health category. The jury specifically praised the product’s concept and form factor.
“We’re proud to see our commitment to timeless, beautifully designed wearables recognized once again by such a distinguished award. POLAR Loop is an important step for Polar because it redefines what a wearable can be: not another screen competing for attention, but a quiet companion that fits naturally into everyday life,” says Sander Werring, CEO of Polar Electro. “We set out to create something timeless and premium—guided by our Nordic roots and the belief that great design should feel effortless. POLAR Loop continues Polar’s long legacy of purposeful product design, where form and function work together to support a happier, healthier life.”

Technology that blends in
POLAR Loop is a screen-free, subscription-free health band and fitness tracker built for people who want the benefits of tracking—without the distractions of a smartwatch. Its beauty lies in its simplicity: it doesn’t demand attention with constant notifications, buzzes, or glowing displays. Instead, it tracks heart rate, sleep, and daily activity around the clock, providing a complete view of fitness, wellbeing, and overall health.
Guided by Nordic minimalism, Polar’s design team pursued simplicity with purpose—refined lines, soft-touch materials, and a premium feel suited for any moment. Free from the limits of a screen, they reimagined what a wearable could be: no more than a feather-light sensor with metal accents, a flexible band, and an elegant buckle. The result is a product comfortable to wear day and night. Interchangeable bands highlight the product’s versatility, letting users choose between a bold pop of color or a subtle look—all without changing devices.
POLAR Loop builds on a strong run of Polar products recognized by the iF DESIGN AWARD. Following recent wins for Polar Grit X2 Pro (2025) and Polar Vantage V3 (2024), the award adds to a growing list of design-led innovations from Polar—underscoring the company’s long-term focus on creating wearables that feel timeless, premium, and purpose-built for everyday life.
The iF DESIGN AWARD is presented each year by Hanover-based iF International Forum Design GmbH, celebrating outstanding design since 1954.
