Seppo Säynäjäkangas Science Foundation Grants
The foundation awards grants to postgraduates, talented researchers, and university students to fund their studies and personal research plans - with a goal of supporting research that promotes international recognition for the development of the Finnish - particularly northern Finnish - electronics industry. Grants are intended for postgraduate research work, or funding research abroad. In order to get funded a person needs to be Finnish citizen.
Applications should be sent as one PDF-file using application form to foundation e-mail address below. Application can be written in Finnish or in English. Application must include cv and short research plan (maximum 5 pages in length), must include cost estimates, and must also include a research budget showing the share of the grant in the total funding of the research program. The application should clearly identify the benefits and practical applications of the research in the electronics industry. In the case of doctoral studies, a supporting letter containing a statement from the thesis supervisor must be included. The applicant must also state any previous activities or received grants on this application. A press release on grants will be releases in December including the name of a grant receiver and amount received. Recipients of this grant will be required to submit a final study report to the Seppo Säynäjäkangas Science Foundation upon completion.
