Nicola Spirig
Triathlon Olympic Champion
I use my Polar watch to support my run and bike sessions. I really like the comfort and light weight of the Polar Vantage V Titan! I usually train three times a day, seven days a week, with some rest days every now and then and in my opinion sleep is the most important tool for recovery.

Pre-race ritual:
I dont have many rituals before the race. But quite often I eat some chocolate about 20 minutes before the race starts. I used to do that already when I was a kid and doing run races and triathlon, and I still do it.
Proudest sporting moment:
I did a World Cup in Eilat, Israel, in 2007. We had a beach start and when the start gun went off I slipped on the wet carpet and instead of starting really quickly, fell down. Wanting to get up and into the water as soon as possible I stumbled and fell again… I guess I was so embarrassed and angry with myself that I had a lot of energy, because in the end I won the race and it was my first World Cup win.
