The Polar RCX3 is surprisingly easy to figure out and use

I am a 2012 Oakley Ambassador and received the RCX3 GPS as a gift from Polar and Oakley. I was hesitant to run with a bunch of 'extra' electronics attached to me, but after the first upload of data, I was hooked. The Polar RCX3 is surprisingly easy to figure out and use, and it takes the mystery out of exercising. The Polar Personal Trainer website gives you a personalized and detailed breakdown of your workout, and the fitness test is a research based method of evaluating improvements in cardiac health and fitness. The watch itself fits comfortably and doesn't get slimy from perspiration. The face is easily visible during running and the light feature is great for workouts after dark. Overall, I am thoroughly dazzled by the Polar RCX3 training watch and all of its many capabilities. I look forward to training with it!

An investment worth making!

As a womens fitness expert and recently names Oakley ambassador I’m always looking for products to inspire me to stay on track. The Polar RCX3F, tracks speed, distance, heart rate zone, calories, laps, you name it, you can track it - even down to your mapped routes which you can see online! Polarpersonaltrainer.com online training profile, gives you a more in-depth look, which you can share with your friends.(my username: EvaRedpath) I wasn’t much of a gadget girl, but I’m loving this way to “listen to your body”. An investment worth making!

So far, I can say that it has been an excellent tool...

I have been using the Polar RCX3 for about a month now. So far, I can say that it has been an excellent tool in that the data it has provided me has been very useful to tweak my planned volume and intensities. Being a multi-sport guy with years of nvolvement in the sport, I have acquired several bikes. I love the fact I can flip the RCX3 from any one of the bikes to running and get the same data to follow and analyze later.

I found it exceptionally easy to set up on my bikes and it integrated nicely with the Polar CS600S, though it does not measure the power output. The buttons and functions are intuitive and follow the same pattern between the two units, so they are simple to switch between.

I also run on the track on a weekly basis. I have been very impressed with the accuracy of the GPS measurement. It has consistently measured within meters per kilometer on the oval, something many other GPS units do not seem to be able to do. I have it set to sample location twice per second.

As of just a few months ago, I was not much of a guy for tech toys and tools. I have had them all and as both a coach and athlete, I understand the usefulness of the data, but not the utter reliance on the tools. I believe people should know themselves well enough to tell what is hard, hard enough or too hard, as well as what pace they are running within a few seconds per kilometer. I still believe that, but I also understand that not everyone is adept at the ‘listening closely to your body’ aspect and needs some help. I have found that the RCX3 is accurate in all measurements and can be relied upon for feedback. Since using one myself, I am confident that my training has been more consistent and purposeful—the numbers keep me from going crazy and/or from wasting my time. That said, I no longer leave the house for a workout without my Polar RCX3.

I have had my RCX3 for a month now and am loving the product...

I have had my RCX3 for a month now and am loving the product. The women's specific model is small and light and gets plenty of compliments as I wear it as my regular watch when not training. Having a relialbe and accurate GPS component with a 24 hour battery is awesome, I have taken it away for training weekends with no worries about recharging it. The wireless download into Polar Personal Trainer is very easy and allows me to share my heart rate data as well as maps of my routes with my coach. This is a great product for anyone who is after GPS and excellent heart rate training features.
