Polar Grit X vs. Polar Grit X Pro and Polar Grit X Pro Titan: Which Is The Best Outdoor Watch For Me?

It’s time to check out the difference between Polar Outdoor Watches: Polar Grit X vs. Polar Grit X Pro (and Titan).

If you’re into trail running, mountain biking, hiking, climbing and bouldering, or any other outdoor sports, you know that having the right gear can make all the difference.

There’s a lot of good options out there – but with Polar Grit X and the introduction of the NEW Polar Grit X Pro and Polar Grit X Pro Titan, you now have some great ones!

Our solid trio of rough and rugged outdoor watches will help you explore, discover, and navigate the world, and train in nature.

If you’re about to head out on an epic adventure and don’t want to spend another second reading a blog post, know this:

Polar Grit X is a VERY GOOD CHOICE!

Polar Grit X Pro is BETTER!

Polar Grit X Pro Titan is THE BEST!

Now, if you have a minute or two to spare, let’s take a closer look at the toughest Polar watches to date:

MEET OUR OUTDOOR WATCH FAMILY.

Meet Polar's Outdoor Watch Family.

The Polar Grit X family is now complete!

We released the Polar Grit X into the wild back in early 2020: since then, it’s been breaking new ground and blazing trails, carving a path to make way for the arrival of Polar Grit X Pro and the immovable Polar Grit X Pro Titan.

All three outdoor watches are built to military-level standards; they’re all equipped with ultra-long battery life; each has essential training and navigation tools built in; and of course, they wouldn’t be Polar watches if they didn’t have incredibly accurate GPS and our world-renowned Polar Precision Prime™ wrist-based optical heart rate tracking technology.

So, what’s the difference?

Which is the best Outdoor Watch for you?

And what justifies the prices? *Yeah, we guessed that question would come up!

It’s time to explore!

DESIGN – THE OBVIOUS DIFFERENCE BETWEEN OUR OUTDOOR WATCHES.

The most glaringly obvious way to tell these three apart is in the way they look and feel.

Polar Grit X really is a beautiful watch; crafted to handle some pretty big demands and made to be extremely durable with a stainless-steel bezel and Gorilla glass lens – there’s not much it can’t deal with.

In Polar Grit X Pro and Polar Grit X Pro Titan, we swapped out the Gorilla glass lens for one of the strongest transparent minerals on earth, sapphire. It’s scratch-resistant, more durable, and offers a more superior quality than its predecessor.

We also added deco detailing around the bezel with compass etchings.

Right now, we’re only looking at design – and the Grit X Pro Titan needs a section unto itself

POLAR GRIT X PRO TITAN: LIGHTER, STRONGER, MORE ADAPTABLE.

Polar Grit X Pro Titan: Lighter, Stronger, More Adaptable.

This is where things get a bit more exciting.

Stainless-steel is tough, but if you have more extreme demands, you’re going to need something stronger.

Polar Grit X Pro Titan is the lightest, toughest, and most adaptable watch in our Outdoor category.

Aerospace titanium provides the highest strength-to-density ratio of any metallic element – it’s also lighter and more durable than stainless-steel. We chose it for the bezel of the Grit X Pro Titan so you can handle any demand.

When you choose Polar Grit X Pro Titan, you’re also getting more options straight out of the box: with not one, but TWO Wristbands included.

Premium FKM (fluoroelastomer) bands are completely weatherproof and look & feel great on your wrist. They’re perfect for sports and are made for ANY condition.

Perforated Leather bands offer stylish detailing and provide that extra touch of class so that you can wear your military-grade watch anytime you want – perfect for more formal situations and made for ANY occasion.

With the Perforated Leather band attached to your Grit X Pro Titan, you’ll have the lightest outdoor watch in our line-up with a total weight of just 53g.

If you want to upgrade your equipment for more extreme demands, choose Polar Grit X Pro Titan.

*In terms of features, software, hardware, and capabilities, Polar Grit X Pro Titan is identical to the Polar Grit X Pro: for that reason, from this point on, when we refer to Polar Grit X Pro in this article, you can take that to also include Polar Grit X Pro Titan.

ARE THESE OUTDOOR WATCHES THE SAME, BUT WITH DIFFERENT DESIGNS?

Not really, but we understand why you might think that.

Before we go on, let’s round up all the specs shared by the watches in the Grit X family:
