Important notice on recruitment fraud and scams
Polar Electro has recently learned of a recruitment fraud involving people posing as company recruiters, or falsely claiming to represent Polar employees. These people, who have no affiliation with Polar Electro, create fake job opportunities and recruitment processes that trick applicants into revealing personal information, sending money or personal devices, and thinking they have a job.
The scammers aim at deceiving job seekers by luring them into a fake recruitment process. To spot the fraudulent recruiters, please consider the following:
- Scammers employ various names in their fraudulent activities, including Cyrus Ho, Camille Simmons-Sixto, Brett Lato, and Samuel Elliot.
- They distribute deceptive documents with titles such as "position summary for the .pdf," "Polar offer letter .pdf," "DD Enrollment.pdf," "Benefits Bulletin Polar.pdf," and "Form For Reimbursement Solicitation.pdf."
- They use email addresses with the domain polarelectro.fit
Please note that these communications are fraudulent, and they do not originate from Polar Electro nor they associated with Polar Electro recruitment process. None of the mentioned individuals are actual employees or representatives of Polar and the documents they share are fake. Moreover, the domain polarelectro.fit does not belong to Polar Electro. As a countermeasure, we have already submitted an abuse report to the domain registrar.
Scammers will likely change the details above and use different names and documents. If you receive emails solicitations from anyone with a polarelectro.fit email address, do not respond to these emails, or communicate with the sender, and do not provide the sender with any personal or financial information. Also, avoid clicking on links included in the mail, or the attachments.
To distinguish legitimate Polar Electro communication, consider the following points:
- Any employment-related message that is not from @polar.com should be treated as fraudulent.
- Our hiring managers (or any of the organizations hiring on our behalf) will never ask for sensitive personal information, money, or payments at any point in the recruitment process.
- All job openings are published on polar.com/en/careers.
- Be suspicious of language and visuals that do not match our company’s corporate identity.
