Training Benefit feature
The Training Benefit feature helps you understand how effective your training is. After training it gives you feedback on the training benefit to know if you’re on the right track to achieve your goals. With the Training Benefit feature, you can make your training more varied and avoid under or overtraining.
You’ll need to have spent at least 10 minutes in sport zones with heart rate measurement on to get Training Benefit feedback.
How does it work?
Training Benefit feedback is based on Polar Sport Zones. It reads into how much time you spend and how many calories you burn in each sport zone.
After each training session your training computer gives you an instant short feedback to summarize your training. You can drill into more detailed feedback for your recent training in the Training files (Menu → Data → Training files). You can also sync your training computer with polarpersonaltrainer.com web service and follow your path toward your goal over a longer time.
To ensure correct feedback, make sure your user settings entered correctly. To have HRmax value is of special importance because the feedback is given according to sport zones, which in turn are defined with the help of the entered HRmax value.
Who is it for?
Training Benefit feature is designed with recreational runners and cyclists in mind. If you are a die-hard athlete and do a lot of interval training this feature is probably not for you. Interval training benefits are not figured in the feedback by this feature.
