Troubleshooting Power Signal Reception
If your Polar training sensor is not working as it should, try troubleshooting before contacting your closest Polar Service.
CS Power Output Sensor W.I.N.D.
1. Have you taught the sensor to the training computer? See how to do this with CS500 or with CS600X / CS600.
2. Does a green light flash in the sensor when the cadence magnet passes the cadence notch located on the Power Sensor? The light indicates that the Power Sensor is positioned correctly and that the sensor is alive. For more on positioning, see Power Output W.I.N.D. user manual or installation video.
3. Does a red lights flash in the sensor when the rotating the crank (chain rotates)? The light indicates that the chain speed sensor is positioned correctly and that the sensor is alive. For more on positioning, see Power Output W.I.N.D. user manual or installation video.
4. Do you have correct power/cadence settings in your cycling computer?
5. Have you activated the power/cadence function in your cycling computer?
6. Are you getting consistent zero readings? You may have exceeded 50 riding hours and the battery is empty. Change battery. If this does not help, please contact your local Polar service.
Irregular zero reading may be caused by temporary electromagnetic interference in your current surroundings.
